​With nearly 30 years' experience in the financial services & business management fields Aly has progressed in top financial services institutions in Egypt and played many roles in Flemings-CIIC, Sigma Capital, Beltone Financial, and Pharos Securities from 1998 till 2008.

In early 2009 he established edge portfolio management.

In 2012 He joined ECG Egypt | Engineering Consultants Group SAE as Board member till it was fully sold to German firm Dorsch Gruppe in 2023

In May 2017 he joined a group of veteran financial services professionals and acquired NBK Capital Securities and renamed it "Vantage for Securities Brokerage" The Group then fully sold it in February 2025

In October 2018 he joined TEA Computers as Vice Chairman and he currently serves as Chairman


In November 2019 he established prelude invest ltd in RAK | UAE as a Proprietary Investment SPV

Aly holds a BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo​​
